Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior retail experience preferred
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting 15 to 35 lbs repetitively
Capability to work extended periods standing or walking
Willingness to work at heights safely using ladders or aerial devices
Must be able to perform repetitive motions for up to two hours continuously
Ability to adhere to company policies including safety, loss prevention and confidentiality
Based on the location of the House of Sport, you may be required to submit relevant state mandated clearances to supervise minors

Job Qualifications

Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)

Job Duties

Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience
Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards
Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.)
Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures
Maintain confidentiality of all company information
Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect
Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store
Perform other tasks as assigned by management
