Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting 15 to 35 lbs repetitively
- Capability to work extended periods standing or walking
- Willingness to work at heights safely using ladders or aerial devices
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions for up to two hours continuously
- Ability to adhere to company policies including safety, loss prevention and confidentiality
- Based on the location of the House of Sport, you may be required to submit relevant state mandated clearances to supervise minors
Job Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)
Job Duties
- Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards
- Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.)
- Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of all company information
- Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect
- Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
