The company prioritizes equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or other protected characteristics under the law.

This Retail Food Service Manager role is based in Providence, RI, at prominent healthcare locations including BROWN Health - Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital. As a management position within Aramark Healthcare+, it requires overseeing retail dining and catering operations with a focus on developing and executing dining solutions that meet customers' diverse needs and preferences. This position is pivotal in leading a team, driving quality service, and maintaining profitable operations.

The Retail Food Service Manager is responsible for implementing innovative retail services plans to enhance service, quality, and profitability. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to maintain effective working relationships with other departments, ensuring a seamless retail experience for all customers. Management of marketing initiatives, merchandising, and cash handling procedures is also a key component of the role. The manager ensures compliance with sanitation and safety standards to guarantee an optimal environment for both customers and staff.

A crucial part of this role is supervising employees directly, including responsibilities for hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and salary management. The manager analyzes sales trends to forecast accurately and boost sales performance actively. The job also involves organizing special promotions, limited-time offers, pop-up restaurants, and collaborations like Fooda to provide dynamic dining options.

In addition to dining operations, the manager oversees catering services, utilizing software tools such as CaterTrax for efficient coordination with clients. This includes menu planning, staffing, event setup, and ensuring a superior catering experience.

Candidates for this role should be motivated, adaptable, and committed to growth as Aramark values employees developing new skills and being flexible to meet evolving business needs. It is important to note that this position requires candidates to work on-site and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, influenza, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B before starting.

Overall, this role offers a rewarding career opportunity within a global leader in the food service industry, focused on professional growth, community engagement, and delivering exceptional dining services in a healthcare setting.
