Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with event planning or coordination preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and early mornings as needed
  • Adhere to all safety and operational guidelines and procedures
  • Must be able to engage with customers of all ages
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Excellent people skills

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and perform activities like face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide shopping solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Maintain respectful and positive interactions with team members and customers
  • Cross-train in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
