The Store Associate role at Michaels in West Palm Beach, FL involves engaging directly with customers to deliver exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment. This position is central to ensuring every customer enjoys a fast, friendly, and helpful shopping experience, whether they visit in-store or interact with Michaels' omni-channel services such as Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Responsibilities include assisting customers in finding products and solutions tailored to their creative needs, handling cash transactions efficiently at checkout, and promoting Michaels’ Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.

The associate supports crucial operational tasks like unloading delivery trucks, restocking merchandise, maintaining store recovery standards, executing planograms, and fulfilling store in-stock optimization duties. Safety, shrink prevention, and compliance with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are priorities in maintaining a secure and well-organized retail space. Furthermore, associates receive cross-training in custom framing selling and production, adding valuable skills to their retail expertise.

Working at Michaels means being part of a team committed to positivity, respect, and projecting a company image that upholds its vision and values. The role requires physical endurance, as associates spend considerable time standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the store, including occasional outdoor tasks like retrieving shopping carts. Given the varied environment, which includes climate-controlled retail areas and some stock rooms that may not be temperature regulated, the position demands adaptability and a proactive approach to customer service.

Michaels is committed to inclusion and offers reasonable accommodations to ensure all team members can perform their roles effectively. The company provides robust benefits to both full-time and part-time employees, including health insurance options (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, tuition assistance, and employee discounts. Michaels fosters a workplace culture that values diversity, equal opportunity, and the creative potential of every team member. Those interested in joining Michaels will find a supportive environment focused on career growth and employee well-being.Show Less
