Job Description

FedEx Office is a premier provider of retail and business services specializing in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping solutions. As a part of the global FedEx brand, FedEx Office combines extensive services and technology to deliver superior customer experiences to individuals and businesses alike. The company emphasizes customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and quality-driven management to maintain its position as a market leader.

The role of Store Consultant at FedEx Office is designed for customer service-oriented individuals who thrive in dynamic retail environments. This position is full-time and involves consistent interaction with customers to understand and anticipate their needs, providing expert advice and solutions in printing, signage, and shipping products. Store Consultants utilize their consultative skills to guide customers through their options, offer alternatives, and ensure that the customer’s objectives are met with efficiency and professionalism.

Store Consultants at FedEx Office are responsible for a broad range of functions that support the store’s operations and customer satisfaction. They take orders accurately using specialized order systems, manage retail supplies, operate and maintain various equipment, and ensure the production queue meets required standards. Handling complex projects is part of the daily routine, which demands excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail. Additionally, Store Consultants prepare shipping parcels—wrapping, weighing, and labeling—ensuring that all orders are processed smoothly and delivered on time.

Safety, quality, and operational excellence are critical pillars of the role. The Store Consultant maintains a clean and safe environment within the retail space, adheres to FedEx Office policies including confidentiality of customer data, and complies with all legal, human resources, safety, and security guidelines. The role also involves financial responsibilities, such as processing point-of-sale transactions, handling cash accurately, and completing daily financial reporting and close-out procedures.

Self-management and teamwork are integral to success within this position. Store Consultants operate with minimal supervision, maintain consistent attendance, and seek opportunities for personal and professional development. They assist in training new team members and collaborate effectively to ensure smooth store operations. Quality-driven management practices are embedded throughout their duties, aiming to reduce waste, enhance profitability, and support FedEx Office’s continuous improvement initiatives.

This career opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in fast-paced retail environments and those looking to grow within a reputable organization. Experience in retail and customer service, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to lift and move equipment and packages, are essential for excelling in this role. FedEx Office is committed to equal opportunity employment and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals during the application and hiring process.
