Job Requirements

  • Six months or more of specialized experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for entire shift excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees consistently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to cooperate with instructions and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure

Job Duties

  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
  • Assist in the training of store team members
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer's individualized need
  • Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
  • Provide an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions
  • Ensure all customer problems are resolved quickly and satisfactorily
  • Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
  • Assemble parcels, prepare goods for shipping by wrapping, inserting in containers, weighing, and labeling parcels
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-supplied media
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
  • Process financial transactions using POS terminals including cash handling and making change
  • Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
  • Stay current on retail store merchandising materials and product displays
  • Take preemptive actions to prevent errors and waste
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits
  • Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and legal, safety, customer service policies
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Look for opportunities to improve knowledge and skills
  • Operate with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to team member and retail store standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
