The Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate role at Jacksons is a vital position within the store, serving as the frontline representative for customers. This part-time position with open availability between 2:00 pm and midnight offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.25 to $18.00. The role involves more than just ringing up purchases; it requires delivering an outstanding and friendly customer service experience, ensuring the store is clean and organized, and assisting with stocking and foodservice areas. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to meet legal age requirements for the sale of regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.

Employees in this role will greet customers warmly, process transactions quickly and accurately, and promote ongoing sales and specials. They will also help maintain product displays, food safety standards, and overall store cleanliness both inside and outside, including fuel island areas. This position demands flexibility, as the store operates 24/7, requiring availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.   • able to frequently lift and/or move up to 20lbs and occasionally up to 65lbs
  • able to work safely in heat, cold, allergens, noise, fumes, chemicals, and odors from gasoline and cleaning products

Job Duties

  • Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly attitude
  • deliver a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience
  • promote current sales, specials, and suggestively sell to enhance customer experience
  • process transactions accurately and responsibly, including alcohol and tobacco sales (must meet legal age requirements)
  • maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including fuel islands
  • stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh and organized products
  • assist in maintaining foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking
  • follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures
  • support team members and complete additional duties as assigned
