Job Duties

  • Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
  • Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging items of all sizes
  • Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
  • Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed
  • Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
  • Adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
  • Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
  • Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
  • Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
  • Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards
  • Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
  • Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
  • Provide general support to the store including special events set-up, backroom organization, markdowns, and fixture relocations
