Job Requirements

- Capability to lift items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally for stock and fulfillment roles
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in retail sales, customer service, stock, or fulfillment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software is a plus
- Basic computer literacy
- Physical capability to handle continuous movement and lifting
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and promote company initiatives
Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging items of all sizes
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general support to the store including special events set-up, backroom organization, markdowns, and fixture relocations
