The role of Cashier at DICK'S Sporting Goods is integral to the frontline customer interaction and overall store success. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience
  • Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established Front-End procedures
  • Promote company programs such as customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Company information
  • Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect
  • Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
