Job Requirements
- Education at the associate degree level or higher
- relevant experience in foodservice or retail management
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- effective communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer programs
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to manage cash controls and payroll records
- availability to work at multiple retail and cafe sites
- commitment to maintaining company policies and standards
Job Qualifications
- B.S. degree in food services management or related field preferred
- A.A. degree plus three years of related experience acceptable
- minimum of one to three years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred
- strong knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation
- P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable
- experience with cash retail operations
- retail marketing experience highly desirable
- supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to communicate across management, customer, and associate levels
- knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices
- proficient with Microsoft Office programs, email, and internet
Job Duties
- Plan and supervise special functions
- maintain cash controls and payroll records
- oversee hiring and training of hourly team members
- ensure customer satisfaction and positive public relations
- direct staff to provide scheduled retail services according to corporate policies
- train staff in customer service, portioning, cashier skills, and safety and sanitation
- complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time
- communicate effectively with team members, customers, and families
- implement and maintain cash handling standards to prevent theft
