Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Must have TIPS certification and meet state law age requirements for tending bar
  • Ability to speak and hear in English
  • Ability to see close and distant objects
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Ability to use manual dexterity and gross motor skills
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to tolerate loud noises

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve ice water and/or coffee upon greeting the table
  • Present menus to diners suggesting dinner courses and appropriate wines
  • Write orders on checks or memorize them
  • Relay orders to kitchen or bar and serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • Garnish and decorate dishes preparatory to serving
  • Serve patrons from dish at table on occasion
  • Observe diners to fulfill additional requests and recognize when meals are complete
  • Total bills and accept payments or refer patrons to cashier
  • Replenish supplies and prepare for the next meal
  • Take initiative to greet guests warmly and friendly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
