We are currently seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to lead and oversee the kitchen operations. This full-time role is pivotal to maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence. The Head Chef will be responsible for leading and managing the food preparation process, ensuring that all culinary activities align with the restaurant’s quality standards and health regulations. This role involves planning and coordinating orders for kitchen equipment and ingredients, managing repairs and maintenance when necessary, and addressing any operational issues or defects. The Head Chef will also take charge of hiring, managing, and training kitchen staff, fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment, and maintaining accurate attendance records. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as this position requires ongoing coordination with the Restaurant General Manager to handle staff-related feedback and concerns. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in kitchen management, a thorough understanding of culinary trends, and proficiency with relevant software programs. Certified knowledge in health and safety standards is also required. This position demands physical capability, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects safely.   • Proven experience as a head chef

  • proficient in relevant computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • certified in health and safety training

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage the food preparation process and other related activities
  • plan and coordinate orders for equipment or ingredients based on identified shortages
  • arrange for repairs and maintenance when necessary
  • address and resolve any issues or defects
  • take full responsibility for hiring, managing, and training kitchen staff
  • supervise the work of subordinates and ensure tasks are completed effectively
  • estimate and manage staff workloads and compensation
  • maintain accurate attendance records
  • foster a cooperative and respectful work environment among team members
  • regularly communicate with the Restaurant GM on ongoing issues, feedback, or concerns related to the staff
