Job Description
Schulte Hospitality Group (SHG) is a leading third-party management company with extensive, multi-generational expertise in the hospitality industry. Operating over 200 locations across 38 states and 3 countries, SHG boasts a diverse portfolio that includes partnerships with reputable brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, as well as numerous unique, independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. As an innovative and service-driven organization, SHG’s mission focuses on embodying hospitality with respect and authenticity, prioritizing the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, and continuously working to make a positive impact within the industry. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive, employee-focused workplace culture that values development and growth, emphasizing a team-oriented environment where hospitality professionals thrive.
The Banquet Manager role at Schulte Hospitality Group offers more than just a position; it promises a fulfilling career within a dynamic, expanding hospitality organization. This role is instrumental in ensuring top-quality banquet service operations that align with SHG’s celebrated service culture. As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of banquet and meeting services, supervising teams, coordinating event setups, and working closely with the Catering Sales team to maximize departmental sales. Your leadership will directly influence customer satisfaction by ensuring impeccable event execution from start to finish — including timeliness, room setup, service quality, and cleanliness.
In addition to operational tasks, the Banquet Manager is also expected to maintain accurate records on inventory, labor, and food costs, assist in menu planning and pricing, and strictly adhere to purchasing procedures. Leading by example, you will coach, mentor, and develop your team members, conducting training sessions and performance reviews to enhance skills and motivate staff. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities effectively. You should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are key.
Joining Schulte Hospitality Group means becoming part of a company that truly invests in its people. SHG offers a robust benefit package, including daily pay options, virtual healthcare access from day one, multiple health and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave and time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, employee assistance programs, and exclusive discounts through the Schulte Savings Marketplace. The company’s commitment to fostering professional growth and work-life balance makes it a sought-after employer for hospitality professionals aspiring to advance in their careers while enjoying a supportive work environment.
This full-time position is ideal for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related fields and at least two years of experience managing banquet or food and beverage teams. The role requires a flexible schedule, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and strong leadership skills. The hiring process may include phone and in-person interviews, background and reference checks, and assessments, ensuring a great match between the candidate and SHG’s service-driven culture. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to grow within a vibrant and innovative company, the Banquet Manager position at Schulte Hospitality Group offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career while making a meaningful impact.
