Job Description
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a rapidly growing fast-food restaurant brand specializing in chicken finger meals, affectionately referred to as their One Love. The company is known not only for serving craveable chicken meals but also for its vibrant culture and supportive workforce. Rooted in a Work Hard. Have Fun. philosophy, Raising Cane's has quickly become one of the fastest-growing chicken concepts in the United States and is on track to entering the Top 10 Restaurant Brands nationally. This growth is fuelled by a culture that values every crewmember's contribution to enduring success. Joining Raising Cane's means being part of a team that constantly strives to Raise The Bar in every aspect of the business, from food quality to customer experience and team engagement.
The role of a Restaurant Zone Manager at Raising Cane's is a key leadership position within the restaurant's operational hierarchy. The Restaurant Zone Manager supports the Restaurant Leader by managing day-to-day operations within a specific zone of the restaurant, ensuring that all activities uphold Raising Cane's standards and cultural values. This position requires a hands-on approach, as the work environment entails a fast-paced kitchen setting that demands physical exertion like walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Additionally, managers must navigate varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, safely handle food products and common allergens, and work with industrial kitchen equipment and commercial cleaning chemicals that require personal protective equipment for safety.
The zone manager plays a vital role in ensuring operational excellence during their shifts, enforcing all company policies and safety standards, and leading crewmembers by example. They are responsible for managing their assigned zone, using the company's tools, forms, and logs to monitor shift performance and document results, taking corrective action when necessary. Customer service is paramount, and this role involves providing exemplary service that contributes to a positive guest experience. Moreover, the manager supports employee motivation by executing reward and recognition programs and authorizes employee functions such as discounts and promotions under managerial oversight. Facilities management is also part of the daily responsibilities, ensuring that the restaurant remains clean, functioning, and safe. Additional duties may be assigned to meet operational needs.
This is a full-time position with hourly pay ranging from $20.25 to $21.00, depending on factors such as location and prior experience. Raising Cane's offers an excellent benefits package for full-time Restaurant Managers, including medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefits, dependent care and healthcare flexible spending accounts, company-provided life and disability insurance, and additional optional coverages like hospital indemnity, accident, and critical illness insurance. Retirement planning is supported with a 401(k) plan featuring employer match for employees aged 21 and over, as well as access to financial advisors for budgeting and retirement planning. The company also promotes work-life balance with perks like a gym membership program, tuition reimbursement, crewmember assistance programs, and pet insurance.
The company understands the importance of competitive compensation and work-life balance and provides perks such as weekly pay, paid time off, sick time, and eight paid holidays annually (which may vary by location). Raising Cane's emphasizes a casual work environment and encourages team building through early closures for company events and participation in Perkspot employee discount programs. This role is designed for energetic, flexible leaders who can handle multiple priorities in an evolving environment and who are passionate about delivering a great customer experience while supporting a positive, productive team culture.
