The role of Restaurant Zone Manager at Raising Cane's involves dynamic leadership responsibilities focused on managing the day-to-day operations within one or more restaurant zones. This position supports the Restaurant Leader to ensure that all operational activities meet Raising Cane's standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Restaurant Zone Manager assumes accountability for enforcing company policies, directing team members during shifts, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety standards within the restaurant environment. The role requires strong organizational and communication abilities, as well as a hands-on approach to managing a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment.

This position goes beyond just operational oversight; it emphasizes the development and motivation of crew members through recognition programs and continuous support. The individual in this role ensures all employee activities requiring managerial approval, such as discounts and promotions, adhere to company protocols. Additionally, they oversee the use of necessary tools and logging systems to track shift execution and implement corrective actions where necessary. Significant physical activity is involved, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending while working with food products, allergens, and industrial cleaning agents, which means the role demands resilience and adaptability.

The Restaurant Zone Manager must be self-driven, energetic, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must complete all required Raising Cane's company training programs
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • Able to travel as needed for work-related functions and training
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
  • Self-driven, flexible and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience, or Raising Cane's advanced crew experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards
  • Manages assigned zone according to Raising Cane's operations and safety standards
  • Uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
  • Directs crewmembers during a shift
  • Provides exemplary customer service
  • Supports execution of reward and recognition program for the crewmembers in the restaurant
  • Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval (e.g. discounts, promotions, etc.)
  • Ensures cleanliness of the restaurant and ensures the facility is in good working order
  • Completes other duties as assigned
