The Guest Service Associate plays a vital frontline role in Towne Park’s operations, responsible for greeting guests warmly and professionally, assisting with vehicle parking and retrieval, and providing helpful information about local amenities, directions, and services. This role is physically demanding, involving activities such as lifting heavy items up to 100 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic with money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time
- Ability to understand time-based rates
- Ability to operate manual transmission
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and perform basic multiplication and division with American money units
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates based on time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms or amenities of the facility and main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before returning keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles as needed
