This position is a full-time hourly job based in Colorado Springs with a salary range of $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, plus applicable gratuities and service charge distribution as per company policy. The role of Fortezza Italiana Supervisor at Flying Horse Resort and Club is integral to the efficient and high-quality operation of the East Lodge Fortezza Room and In-Room Dining services. This supervisory role is customer-facing, requiring the ability to support restaurant staff by managing tables, seating guests, and maintaining a positive and welcoming dining environment. The supervisor will work collaboratively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations, including overseeing employee appearance and training, monitoring food quality and sanitation, and managing inventory supplies for beverages and restaurant products.

The ideal candidate for this position will display a passion for hospitality culture, fine food, wine, and beverage service, with a strong background in a busy fine dining environment. Responsibilities extend beyond guest interaction to include leadership duties such as coaching, motivating, and developing team members to uphold and exceed service standards. The Fortezza Italiana Supervisor is expected to resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, promote upselling to maximize revenue, and participate in strategic planning alongside senior management to continually improve guest dining experiences.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years supervising experience in a high-volume or craft setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail techniques
  • Experience managing inventory and ordering
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with culinary teams
  • Excellent leadership, communication, eye for detail, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working under direction from multiple management levels
  • Valid TIPS or ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Assist in the training of new employees and continuous training of existing staff
  • Oversee and enforce staff uniform and appearance compliance
  • Complete employee daily logs
  • Oversee both front and back of house operations
  • Maintain high-quality food standards
  • Ensure compliance with health code and sanitation requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service and lead staff to do the same
  • Respond quickly and resolve customer complaints
  • Develop strategies with Manager to improve customer dining experience
  • Maintain inventory and ordering for beverages and restaurant goods
  • Identify methods to cut waste, decrease costs, and improve profits
  • Promote upselling and suggestive selling to maximize food and beverage revenue
  • Oversee dining room and bar set-up, organization, and service
  • Ensure cleanliness of front and back of house areas
  • Assign and delegate staff duties
  • Manage POS transactions and gratuities
  • Communicate with accounting on discrepancies
  • Provide input on menus, special events, and presentation
  • Attend monthly management meetings for weekly preparations
