Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or training
- experience running shifts and scheduling
- knowledge of performance management and problem-solving
- Food Handlers Certification
- RBS Certification
- ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
- compliance with California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- at least 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or training
- experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing and running day-to-day operations
- current industry certifications required: Food Handlers Certification and RBS Certification
- previous similar position in a restaurant or hotel is preferred
- experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts
- ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times
- ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time up to and including the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Duties
- Maintains a house bank and conforms to established cash-handling procedures
- supervises the department's staff in established safety and emergency procedures
- ensures that all areas are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness in accordance with the Health Department and hotel standards
- responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees
- carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- interviews, trains employees
- plans, assigns, and directs work
- appraises performance
- rewards and disciplines employees
- addresses complaints and resolves problems
- performs additional duties as directed by the leadership team
