Job Description
Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is a revolutionary dining, drinking, and entertainment establishment that is set to open in mid-September, located conveniently across from the Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway, Salt Lake City. Owned and operated by the renowned Las Vegas-headquartered Carver Road Hospitality, this vibrant complex offers an exciting combination of a restaurant, three distinctive bars, 400 square feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub, and a cocktail lounge complete with bowling amenities. This innovative venue aims to provide an unparalleled guest experience by merging quality food, nightlife, and entertainment under one roof.
The restaurant itself features American bar and grill favorites alongside more eclectic dishes and creatively crafted desserts, all prepared fresh in a fully operational kitchen. Open seven days a week, Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club promises a dynamic atmosphere perfect for social gatherings, casual dining, and evening entertainment.
The role of Restaurant Supervisor is critical in maintaining the smooth day-to-day operations of the front of house. This position involves assisting the management team to oversee service quality, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company policies. The Restaurant Supervisor acts as a key leader among the front-of-house staff, ensuring that all team members consistently uphold professional appearance and service standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
This supervisory role requires anticipation of guests’ needs and the ability to accommodate them proactively, fostering an environment where guests feel welcomed and valued. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all front-of-house and venue areas meet stringent cleanliness standards and that health and sanitation guidelines mandated by the Department of Health are strictly followed to protect the safety of guests and employees alike.
Moreover, the Restaurant Supervisor must possess comprehensive knowledge of all front-of-house duties and food and beverage menus to certify that every dish and drink meets the restaurant’s high standards. Cash handling responsibilities also form an essential part of this role, requiring strict adherence to the company’s accounting guidelines. The supervisor plays a vital role in communication by working closely with management and back-of-house staff, reporting any issues such as equipment damage promptly, and making sure daily opening and closing tasks conform to company protocols.
Ideal candidates for this position will bring at least two years of experience working in a high-volume restaurant or lounge environment. They should be friendly, professional, and outgoing with a strong team-oriented mindset. Given the physical demands of the role, the candidate must be able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds and manage tasks that require repetitive motions. Additionally, the work environment may expose the supervisor to hot kitchen elements or cleaning chemicals, requiring flexibility and compliance with safety standards.
Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club values diversity and inclusion and offers a flexible schedule requiring availability during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This employment opportunity is part of Carver Road Hospitality’s commitment to creating a dynamic workplace that supports growth, ensures guest satisfaction, and upholds high standards in the hospitality industry.
