Job Description

HVMG (Hospitality Ventures Management Group) is a distinguished management company renowned in the hospitality industry for fostering a unique culture called the Be Excellent culture. This culture is more than a slogan—it's a guiding principle that permeates every level of their organization, from corporate leadership down to field operations. HVMG operates a nationwide portfolio of hotels and prides itself on creating an environment where employees can thrive, grow, and build rewarding careers. They emphasize that successful career paths in hospitality can begin at any level within the company, underscoring their commitment to internal growth and professional development. Associates have the opportunity to advance from entry-level positions to senior management roles, with leadership examples demonstrating the possibilities for upward mobility within the company. HVMG is firmly committed to equality and inclusivity, operating as an equal opportunity employer that adheres to all federal, state, and local laws to maintain a fair and honorable workplace.

The role of Restaurant Supervisor at HVMG is pivotal to the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s restaurant. This position requires a hands-on leader capable of overseeing daily restaurant operations while delivering a memorable dining experience to guests. The Restaurant Supervisor’s responsibilities span supervising the restaurant staff to coordinating service activities, managing inventory, and upholding brand as well as safety standards. A critical aspect of the role is maintaining exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects HVMG’s renowned Culture of Excellence.

Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager or Bistro Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor assists in maintaining operational efficiencies while supporting the team through training, guidance, and effective communication. This role is well-suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy problem-solving on the fly, and possess a passion for hospitality. Candidates with prior hotel experience will find the knowledge transferable and advantageous, although the position supports candidates with a combination of education and experience.

Additionally, the position offers a flexible schedule that includes the potential for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts to meet the operational demands of the restaurant business. The Restaurant Supervisor role is not just about managing daily activities but also about fostering career growth opportunities within hospitality management. Successful employees in this role can progress to higher positions such as Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Director, or even General Manager along their professional journey at HVMG.

The company supports its associates with various benefits, including flexible scheduling, paid time off and holidays, comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a 401(k) plan with a guaranteed 4% match, and exclusive discounts on hotel and food & beverage services. HVMG also provides access to 40% of earned wages before payday through PayActive, helping associate financial wellness. If you are an enthusiastic hospitality professional looking to grow your career in a company that values dedication, teamwork, and personal development, this Restaurant Supervisor position at HVMG offers an excellent platform to build on your expertise and advance professionally.
