The company prides itself on its four core values: Safety First, Treat others with integrity, fairness and respect, Deliver quality without sacrifice, and Produce profit and cash flow for long-term value. These values not only guide business operations but also foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture. City Barbeque is recognized for its dedication to both customers and employees, ensuring a rewarding experience for all who interact with the brand.
City Barbeque is currently seeking passionate and reliable individuals to join their Back of House (BOH) team. The available BOH positions include Prep Cook, Boards (the BBQ term for meat carver), Pits (smoker operators), and Dish Washer. This is an excellent opportunity for those who love working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a team focused on delivering exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction. Employees in these roles play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of food preparation, sanitation, and hospitality that City Barbeque is known for.
The role emphasizes providing stellar backyard hospitality, working efficiently and independently, and having the flexibility to cross-train and operate in various kitchen stations. Team members are expected to follow recipes and procedures meticulously to ensure consistency and maintain the signature taste of the BBQ offerings. Additionally, the position requires promptness, attention to detail in daily tasks such as prepping food and cleaning, and a positive attitude that contributes to a cooperative work environment. City Barbeque offers a supportive atmosphere where employees are encouraged to pitch in and help their teammates, creating a strong sense of camaraderie.
City Barbeque also provides excellent benefits to its employees, underlining the company's commitment to their wellbeing and professional growth. Benefits include opportunities for bi-annual raises, free BBQ meals up to a significant annual value, employee discounts, free uniforms and slip-resistant shoes, vacation pay, matching 401k contributions, annual scholarships, flexible scheduling, and access to medical, dental, and vision insurance after a short waiting period. Such benefits make City Barbeque not just a workplace but a place where employees can build fulfilling long-term careers.
Candidates who thrive in a hospitality-driven environment, are dependable, and have a passion for great food and quality service will find City Barbeque a fantastic place to grow. This opportunity suits individuals interested in restaurant positions ranging from front-of-house roles like host and server to back-of-house roles such as cooks and dishwashers. City Barbeque is an equal opportunity employer and participates in the E-Verify program, ensuring a lawful and compliant workforce. Join City Barbeque and become part of a company dedicated to serving happiness alongside America’s best BBQ.
