As a Restaurant Shift Leader at MOD, you will play a crucial role in managing the store’s daily operations during your scheduled shifts. This position combines leadership, coaching, and hands-on work to ensure the team, known as the Squad, delivers an exceptional MOD experience every day. You will model the company’s purpose in all interactions and set the tone for your team by creating a positive, energetic, and welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities include ensuring food quality and safety, managing shift duties, and addressing any customer or team concerns with care and competence. You will be a keyholder and cash handler for your shift, help with inventory and ordering, and support Squad members’ growth and morale.
The Restaurant Shift Leader position offers a competitive wage of $16.76 per hour, which includes a base hourly wage of $13.25 combined with average tips of $3.51 per hour earned at this location. Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months in the All Star position demonstrating quality coaching, training and multi-tasking within the shift
- minimum of 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience
- must be at least 18 years old
- previous experience coaching, teaching and inspiring others
- proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards with compassionate correction and coaching
- customer service skills with ability to remain calm and focused
- must obtain food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days or sooner where required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Set and sustain the tone of the shift by keeping the energy high
- create a positive vibe and welcoming atmosphere for both Squad and customers
- responsible for quality and safety of all food including tasting and checking prep and storage standards
- listen, acknowledge and resolve Squad member and customer concerns
- escalate issues as appropriate
- act as keyholder responsible for cash within the shift
- take inventory and place orders as directed
- conduct coaching in the moment
- manage shift duties checklists and address or escalate equipment malfunctions
- focus on the growth and well-being of the Squad and celebrate wins
