Perkins American Food Co. invites applicants to join their team as a Service Leader. This position plays a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction through the implementation and adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards. As a Service Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations to maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for both guests and employees. Job Requirements

  • High level of mobility and flexibility
  • Ability to work irregular hours under heavy stress and pressure during peak times
  • High level of coordination
  • Ability to lift and carry trays up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • Ability to fit through a 30-inch wide opening
  • Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
  • Ability to stand and walk continually

Job Qualifications

  • Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in-house training
  • Trustworthy and reliable in handling payment operations and cash register
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Ensures that all guests are properly greeted, seated, and served
  • Accountable for proper resolution of all guest complaints
  • Accountable for proper handling of cash, credit card information, gift cards and all payment related processes
  • Ensures proper control of facility and equipment through maintenance, repairs, security, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
  • Monitors and oversees food temperatures to reduce risk of food borne illness
  • Trains employees during shifts to guarantee proper and productive performance
  • Verifies that all menu items are prepared and served according to standards
  • Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction
  • Communicates with Manager on Duty and coworkers about product/service deficiencies, equipment, and safety concerns
  • Manages change fund, cash register, and guest check control with performance impacting sales and profits
