Job Description
Noodlepig is an innovative and vibrant restaurant committed to delivering a unique culinary experience centered around authentic ramen and Japanese-inspired dishes. Known for its dedication to quality and hospitality, Noodlepig thrives on creating a warm, upbeat environment where every team member is valued and empowered. The restaurant proudly embraces a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, reflecting the Japanese philosophy that no job is above another. This approach fosters a unified team spirit and exceptional service that resonates throughout the dining experience.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Stage Director / Manager to join our passionate team. This leadership role involves more than just managing operations; it requires a rockstar leader who embodies our core values and brings contagious positivity. The qualified candidate will not only motivate and support staff but will also roll up their sleeves and jump into any role—from the kitchen to the front of house—to ensure smooth, 5-star service. Our Stage Directors are highly visible leaders who set the tone, coach team members, and uphold our standards of excellence.
The position offers a competitive pay structure starting at $22 per hour, combining base pay with tips through universal tip pooling. This equitable distribution method ensures that every team member benefits fairly based on hours worked, encouraging collaboration and shared success. Beyond compensation, Noodlepig invests in career advancement, rewarding proficiency, positive attitudes, and strong work ethics with pay raises and growth opportunities.
Candidates should expect a comprehensive hiring process, including submission of a resume, an engaging casting call interview either online or in person, an audition period with paid training shifts, and final induction into the team complete with official merch and integration into payroll. This meticulous approach highlights our commitment to maintaining an upbeat, cohesive workplace where only the most dedicated and passionate individuals thrive.
The ideal Stage Director / Manager will have a minimum of three years of restaurant experience, including at least two years in management positions. ServSafe and alcohol server certifications are mandatory. Culinary skills and familiarity with kitchen operations are highly valued, as cross-training across all departments is essential. Responsibilities range from beverage service and cashier duties to food preparation and cooking, table bussing, and delivering excellent guest service—making every customer interaction memorable. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in cold storage environments, and stand or move actively throughout a shift.
At Noodlepig, we cultivate a culture where happy team members with contagious smiles influence the energy and experience our guests enjoy. We are selective and deliberate in our hiring to ensure each new team member shares our values and vision. If you are passionate about ramen, thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy leadership roles, and consistently deliver hospitality with a smile, this opportunity is tailored for you. Join us to not just work at a restaurant but to be part of a band—our Noodlepig cast—where every player counts, and every day is a chance to shine.
