Job Description

Shake Shack is a renowned hospitality company established over a decade ago, originating from a humble hot dog cart in New York City’s Madison Square Park. Founded by Danny Meyer, a respected figure in the restaurant industry and CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group, Shake Shack has grown into one of the fastest expanding restaurant brands in the hospitality sector. The company prides itself on high-quality food, a strong commitment to hospitality, and an organization culture that emphasizes standing for something good in all aspects of business. Shake Shack’s operations are rooted deeply in community involvement, where part of its initial success was giving back proceeds towards park beautification efforts. Today, Shake Shack serves its guests with a menu that combines quality and consistency alongside exceptional customer service, providing memorable dining experiences at multiple locations across the United States and internationally.

This position is for a Full-Time Shift Manager at the Shake Shack located at 120 Promenade Way, Ste A, Thousand Oaks, CA. The Shift Manager will be an integral part of the ShackFam, responsible for managing daily operations during shifts to ensure a seamless customer service experience. This role is designed not only to oversee operational flow but also to motivate, support, and lead a team of hourly Team Members. At Shake Shack, the mission includes crafting unforgettable experiences for guests while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and speed. The Shift Manager's responsibilities encompass operational management, employee relations, and hands-on assistance with administrative functions like purchasing, receiving, and inventory control.

The candidate will join an inclusive and interactive environment where mentorship and professional development are prioritized. Shake Shack offers competitive pay ranging from $24.00 to $28.00 hourly, enhanced by weekly payment schedules and performance bonuses that reward goal achievement. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance options, supplemental life and short-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid time off including sick days and parental leave. Additional perks encompass an Employer Assistance Program, commuter benefits, exclusive corporate discounts, meal discounts, charitable participation opportunities, and access to employee resource groups. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Shake Shack affirms its commitment to diversity, ensuring consideration of applicants without regard to race, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected class.

Joining Shake Shack as a Shift Manager means becoming part of a company that emphasizes community values, continuous growth, and a supportive work atmosphere. Candidates with prior leadership experience in restaurant settings and food safety certification will find this opportunity appealing for advancement within a hospitality leader that genuinely values its people and mission.
