Job Description
Shake Shack is a renowned hospitality brand that began as a humble hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park. Founded by Danny Meyer, the visionary behind the Union Square Hospitality Group and author of the acclaimed book "Setting the Table," Shake Shack has grown into one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands globally. Its origins, deeply rooted in community support and quality service, reflect a strong commitment to giving back, as all initial proceeds from the original cart were dedicated to park beautification efforts. Over time, Shake Shack transformed from a simple cart to a permanent stand, evolving into a favorite dining destination known for premium food offerings combined with exceptional hospitality.
As a company, Shake Shack values its people above all, fostering an inclusive environment where every team member is encouraged to grow and succeed. It holds a strong mission to "Stand For Something Good," striving to make a positive impact on their teams, neighborhoods, and the broader community. With a culture built on teamwork, mentorship, and continuous learning, Shake Shack provides its employees with robust training and career development opportunities. Employees become part of the #ShackFam — a community where hands-on mentorship and open communication ensure that each individual can thrive in their role while contributing meaningfully to the company’s ongoing success.
The role available is a leadership position within Shake Shack, responsible for managing the flow of service during shifts to maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed. This position demands the ability to lead and motivate a team of hourly members, ensuring optimal performance and a smooth customer experience. Additionally, leaders support operational functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory management, lending their expertise to help streamline restaurant operations. They participate actively in recruitment and employee relations, further fostering a positive and dynamic workplace culture. Candidates for this role can expect to be deeply involved in daily operations while championing the brand's core values of quality and hospitality.
Join Shake Shack to become part of a team that is growing rapidly and dedicated to excellence. The company offers competitive weekly pay and performance-based bonuses, reflecting their commitment to recognizing and rewarding hard work. Comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance alongside flexible spending accounts ensure team members are well supported in their health and wellness. Additional perks include supplemental life insurance, short-term disability, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, sick leave, paid parental leave, commuter benefits, and exclusive discounts. Employees are encouraged to engage in charitable activities and employee resource groups, contributing to a vibrant and supportive workplace culture. This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their leadership skills within a respected hospitality brand that truly cares about its people and community impact.
