Job Description

Shake Shack is a renowned hospitality company that has grown from a humble hot dog cart in New York Citys Madison Square Park to one of the fastest-growing hospitality brands globally. Founded by Danny Meyer, who also leads Union Square Hospitality Group and authored the best-selling book "Setting the Table," Shake Shack embodies a commitment to quality food, exceptional service, and community involvement. The company is known for its welcoming and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes its people and promotes a philosophy to "Stand For Something Good" in every aspect of its operations. This philosophy extends beyond the food to how Shake Shack interacts with its communities and supports its team members, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed. With roots deeply embedded in fine dining and a passion for giving back, Shake Shack continues to craft unforgettable experiences for guests that blend culinary excellence with genuine hospitality.

This role focuses on managing the flow of service during shifts and leading a high-performing team of hourly crew members to ensure that customer experiences remain exceptional at every Shake Shack location. The position requires overseeing safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed to meet the brand's exacting standards. As a shift leader, you will also contribute to important operational functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory management. Engaging in the hiring process and assisting with employee relations, the role invites individuals who are passionate about team leadership and making a positive impact in the workplace. Shake Shack provides extensive learning and growth opportunities including mentorship, training, and career development within a fun and diverse environment.

The company offers an employment opportunity that values leadership experience and food safety knowledge, with at least one year of restaurant supervisory experience required. The compensation package includes weekly pay and performance bonuses tied to achieving goals, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, flexible spending accounts, and supplemental life and disability insurance. Additional benefits such as a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, sick leave, parental leave, commuter benefits, and exclusive employee discounts further demonstrate Shake Shack's commitment to supporting its team members.
