The company prides itself on fostering a family-like environment for its employees and customers alike, emphasizing values such as integrity, teamwork, and continuous growth. With its roots firmly planted in Texas, Whataburger has expanded its footprint while maintaining the same dedication to fresh and customizable meals, ensuring a unique dining experience every time. Beyond serving delicious food, Whataburger is a place where careers are built, leadership is encouraged, and every team member has the opportunity to make an impact.

The Shift Leader role at Whataburger is a vital leadership position that ensures the restaurant operates smoothly, efficiently, and delivers an exceptional guest experience. As a Shift Leader, you will be the driving force during shifts, maintaining quality, service, and cleanliness standards while motivating and supporting team members, known as Family Members. This role requires someone who can lead with heart, inspire others, and handle the dynamic fast-paced environment of a restaurant kitchen. Your responsibilities will include coaching new and existing team members to achieve their best, managing shift operations, controlling costs, and upholding food safety and workplace standards. You will work closely with Restaurant Managers to enhance your leadership skills and contribute to the restaurant's success.

Whataburger offers competitive weekly pay along with flexible scheduling that includes day, night, evening, and overnight shifts, catering to a variety of lifestyle needs. The role includes paid time off, a 401(k) match program, competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and short- and long-term disability coverage. Whataburger supports career development with clear growth pathways and educational opportunities, including scholarships for employee dependents, free English-language courses, and reduced tuition for college-level programs. Additional perks include discounted meals, wireless service discounts, fitness and gym memberships, and recognition programs that celebrate your contributions. Working at Whataburger means joining a team that values your growth, supports your ambitions, and provides you with tools to succeed in the fast food industry and beyond.
