The role of Server Assistant at Americana House is integral to maintaining the high standards of guest service and operational efficiency. The Server Assistant supports both front and back of house operations by attending to various needs such as clearing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. This position plays a pivotal role in expediting service by promptly resetting tables and supporting servers and expeditors during busy periods. Additionally, Server Assistants are responsible for delivering Hotel Room Service orders and managing related dishware collection, ensuring seamless service delivery. Job Requirements
- At least 2 years restaurant front of the house experience
- willing and supportive team member that contributes to the restaurant departmental goals
- able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- effective at working multiple priorities, working under stress, time management and exercise good judgment with guest and employee situations and challenges
- must have flexibility in performing different job roles within the restaurant
- knowledgeable in the use of POS system and accuracy of order entries
- available to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week including the weekend and holidays
- ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Bus tables efficiently, effectively, promptly and discreetly
- serve water and bread and butter to guests and refill beverages as needed
- remove full linen bags as needed
- promptly and accurately ring in, set up and deliver room service orders and collect and process payments
- maintain the cleanliness, stocking and organization of the dining area and server stations
- assist with any spills and clean up needed as per safety requirements
- greet tables with water if server is not immediately available
- help servers and expeditor run food and beverages to tables
- maintain a basic knowledge of menu items, ingredients and beverages
- perform opening and closing side work
- support extended duties as directed by management
