Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is a premier full-service resort and meeting destination located strategically between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. The role of Food Server at Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center requires a dedicated and customer-focused professional who can deliver exceptional food and beverage service consistent with the luxury standards of the hotel. The position involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, presentation, and timing to ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests. The Food Server is responsible for setting up their service station with all necessary supplies, greeting guests with professionalism and warmth according to Loews standards, and providing personalized recommendations to enhance the dining experience. Accuracy in recording orders, timely coordination with the kitchen, and continual monitoring of meal progression are critical to maintaining service quality. Food Servers must ensure that all orders meet the highest presentation standards before delivery and consistently monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Additionally, Food Servers are responsible for handling transactions via POS terminals, preparing accurate guest checks, and completing shift-end revenue reports and cash deposits. They also carry out side work duties assigned by management and assist with various duties as needed to support overall service goals. This role requires teamwork, adherence to safety and hygiene protocols, and compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Ideal candidates possess at least one year of experience in a high-volume, upscale hospitality environment, possess solid product knowledge and guest service skills, and demonstrate flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • One plus years experience as a Food Server in high volume, upscale Hotel or Restaurant environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years experience as a Food Server in high volume, upscale Hotel or Restaurant environment
  • Thorough knowledge of food terminology, food service techniques and sanitation standards
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintains current knowledge of all menu offerings including ingredients, preparation method and time required, presentation and appearance
  • Sets up assigned station with all required supplies, Mis en Place
  • Greets guests in a polite professional manner according to Loews standards
  • Suggestively sells menu items to guests so as to enhance the dining experience
  • Records all aspects of guests order accurately and enters guest orders into POS terminal
  • Coordinates placement of order so that the timing of preparation and delivery flows consistently throughout entire meal
  • Monitors preparation of individual courses to ensure proper flow
  • Inspects presentation of all food items to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the guests as ordered
  • Serves all food and beverage items professionally, according to Loews Standards
  • Monitors guests at all times, anticipates needs, responds to requests, ensures satisfaction
  • Prepares and presents accurate, complete guest check
  • Collects monies due and or applies charges to guest account using POS terminal
  • Completes end of shift revenue report and cash deposit
  • Performs all side work duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
  • Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members
