Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Ability to work long and flexible hours
  • Capability to exert medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Physical ability to maneuver throughout the dining area carrying full trays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions
  • Approach encounters with an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • Ability to maintain high standards of personal appearance, including proper uniform and nametag
  • Willingness to attend all required hotel meetings and training
  • Ability to handle and solve problems proactively

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees
  • Be familiar with the organization of restaurants, lounges, and room service and understand each job position
  • Possess thorough knowledge of menus and current specials
  • Provide food and beverage service in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Pre-bus tables removing soiled dishes after each course
  • Operate the point of sale system accurately
  • Perform cashiering tasks including closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and complete side-work duties as assigned
  • Maintain stocked, tidy and clean tables and side stands
  • Ensure beverages are at least three-quarters full
  • Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in dishroom as per standards
  • Answer telephone calls professionally
  • Upsell food, beverage and promotional items consistently
  • Know fire extinguisher locations and usage
  • Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction at all times
