Job Requirements

  • Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months to one year of related experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks

Job Duties

  • Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events
  • Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit
  • Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently
  • Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation
  • Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch
  • Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner
  • Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously
  • Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory
  • Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals
  • Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them
  • Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests
  • Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
  • Attend all required in-service training sessions
  • Be an active member of the community's emergency response team
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies
  • Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm
