Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work during business hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm PST with occasional weekends or holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Knowledge of state liquor laws
  • Must be service oriented with excellent customer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be energetic and outgoing
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and basic arithmetic
  • Willingness to travel as needed for hotel familiarization and meetings
  • Adherence to company safety, security, and payroll policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
  • Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail
  • Team player with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in using financial information and basic arithmetic
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute and proficient with data entry
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Provide attentive, friendly, courteous and professional food and beverage service to guests
  • Report all guest issues and complaints to management
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed
  • Perform medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness
  • Be knowledgeable about restaurant and lounge functions, menus, and specials
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and complete side work duties
  • Follow all state liquor laws
  • Carry and refill coffee pots and beverages throughout the room
  • Greet guests and serve following established service guidelines
  • Communicate effectively and evaluate alternative courses of action
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Listen and clarify concerns raised by guests and associates
  • Handle cashiering functions using POS and Micros systems
  • Maintain proper personal appearance and uniform
  • Maintain regular attendance as required
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and management as needed
  • Attend meetings as required by management
