Known as "The meeting place of the world," Sheraton offers guests exceptional experiences in more than 400 communities worldwide. With a rich heritage of welcoming and connecting guests through attentive service and engaging experiences, Sheraton prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. This esteemed hotel brand values the unique talents, cultures, and experiences each associate brings to the team, creating a sense of belonging and purpose for all employees.
At Sheraton Hotels & Resorts located in Pomona, California, we invite you to join our global and diverse family as a Food and Beverage Associate. This full-time, non-management position offers an hourly pay of $16.90, with the added benefit of tip eligibility. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food and beverage industry who enjoy delivering memorable experiences to guests. Open availability is preferred to accommodate the dynamic nature of the hospitality environment.
As a Food and Beverage Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' dining experience. Your responsibilities will include warmly welcoming guests, attentively attending to tables, and delivering prompt service. You will use your knowledgeable understanding of the menu to assist guests with inquiries and special requests, ensuring every diner feels valued and cared for. Utilizing the MICROS point-of-sale system accurately, you will manage guest transactions efficiently.
Maintaining an inviting dining environment is also vital to this role. You will ensure tables are impeccably set, clean, and replenished with necessary supplies at all times. Your friendly and professional demeanor will contribute to a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere that guests will remember long after their visit. The position requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds, and flexibility to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Sheraton embraces diversity and inclusion, promoting an environment where all associates feel welcomed and supported. Through comprehensive training and certification programs focused on safety and best practices, we equip you with the knowledge and skills to succeed in your role. Beyond the workplace, Sheraton offers a suite of benefits designed to enrich your life, including discounts on hotel rooms, gift shop items, food and beverages, as well as access to wellness programs, recognition initiatives, and continuous learning opportunities.
Joining Sheraton means becoming part of a global community that values teamwork, positive attitude, and a passion for exceptional guest service. Whether you are new to the hospitality industry or an experienced professional, Sheraton provides a platform for personal and career growth. This position is a stepping stone to explore diverse career paths within Marriott International’s vast portfolio of brands. By joining our team, you will not only perform your best work but also embark on a journey to become the best version of yourself, contributing meaningfully to our mission and enriching the experiences of guests from around the world.
