Job Description
HHM Hotels is a renowned hospitality company committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its diverse portfolio of hotel and resort properties. With a strong reputation for quality and service excellence, HHM Hotels emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and a positive work environment. The company prides itself on creating career growth opportunities for its employees while maintaining high operational standards that align with brand and hotel guest service expectations. HHM Hotels upholds the core values of "People Are Our Capability," "Hearts That Serve," "Only Excellence," "Stay Nimble," and "Own It." These guiding principles foster a culture that values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Restaurant Server position at HHM Hotels plays a vital role in enhancing the guest dining experience by providing courteous and efficient food and beverage service. This role requires interacting closely with guests to take orders, ensure satisfaction, and maintain dining areas in accordance with the brand's guest service and sustainability standards. Restaurant Servers are also expected to be flexible and proactive, stepping into multiple food and beverage roles including bartending and bussing during peak periods or staff shortages.
This is a dynamic, customer-facing position that requires attention to detail, a strong service orientation, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Servers are responsible for taking and placing orders accurately using the point of service (POS) system, preparing and presenting guest checks, and handling payment transactions professionally. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the restaurant environment by setting and clearing tables and restocking service stations with essentials such as ice, napkins, and straws.
Serving as the frontline representatives of HHM Hotels, Restaurant Servers are integral to achieving high guest satisfaction scores and contributing to overall departmental success. The servers actively participate in the hotel's sustainability initiatives, particularly HHM's EarthView program, by adhering to environmentally friendly practices in their day-to-day tasks. They must also follow strict safety protocols, wear appropriate protective safety equipment, and comply with health and safety regulations such as MSDS and OSHA standards.
The position requires the flexibility to work varied schedules including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. It is a physically demanding job that involves standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing tasks that require bending and reaching. HHM Hotels values dedication and offers competitive wages for both full-time and part-time opportunities, along with a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee well-being and professional growth.
Overall, this role is ideal for individuals with prior food and beverage experience or equivalent training who aspire to build a career within a reputable hospitality company equipped with clear paths for advancement including roles such as Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server, Captain, Restaurant Manager, and Banquet Manager. HHM Hotels embraces a work culture where employees are empowered to own their responsibilities and strive for excellence in every guest interaction.
