Job Description

This job opportunity is with a prominent hospitality company recognized for delivering exceptional guest services and sustainability standards. The establishment operates a rooftop dining experience that becomes highly sought-after during peak seasons. Situated in a vibrant location, it caters to a diverse clientele seeking quality food and beverage offerings in a friendly and attentive environment. The company prides itself on upholding values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It, which collectively foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and excellence.

The position available is a temporary, seasonal Food and Beverage Server role designed to support the increased business demands during the busy rooftop season. This employment type is temporary and seasonal, with compensation starting at $12.00 per hour. Although the role is seasonal, there is ample opportunity for growth within the hospitality sector through a clearly defined career advancement path. Individuals who demonstrate dedication and skill may progress through roles like Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server, Captain, Restaurant Manager, and Banquet Manager.

The core responsibility of the Food and Beverage Server is to deliver outstanding service to guests by taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the point of service system. In addition to order taking, the server ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a courteous and friendly demeanor at all times. The role involves setting and clearing tables in dining areas, stocking service stations with essential items such as ice, napkins, and straws, and promptly picking up orders from food preparation areas to guarantee that food is served correctly and in a timely manner.

This position also encompasses processing guest checks and handling payment transactions when appropriate. During peak periods or staff shortages, the server may be called upon to perform ancillary duties such as bartending or bussing to maintain smooth operations.

A significant emphasis on sustainability is integrated into daily practices by following the EarthView program, focusing on environmentally responsible service delivery. Safety is paramount; therefore, the server is expected to adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing protective safety equipment and complying with MSDS and OSHA standards.

Working in this role requires physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching. Flexibility in work hours is essential as schedules vary and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. This position offers a dynamic and engaging work environment where passion for hospitality and commitment to guest service excellence are highly valued.

Joining this company not only means being part of a respected hospitality organization but also gaining access to various employee benefits and professional growth opportunities. Team members benefit from competitive wages, comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401k company match program. Additional perks include free basic life insurance, travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance programs, wellness initiatives, educational and professional development opportunities, as well as a referral bonus program.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about food and beverage service, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and aspire to advance their careers within the hospitality industry. The company provides a supportive environment that nurtures employees' growth while maintaining a high standard of guest service and operational excellence.
