Its core values, including People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It, reflect the company’s dedication to nurturing talent, fostering excellence, and adapting swiftly to guest needs. Hilton's hotels offer diverse opportunities for growth, professional development, and delivering memorable guest experiences across their many locations worldwide.
This Food and Beverage Server role within the Hilton hotel environment is crafted for individuals who thrive in hospitality and guest service roles, focusing on courteous, efficient, and proactive food and beverage service. The position plays a vital part in enhancing guest satisfaction by providing friendly service, handling orders efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas. Employees in this role are expected to uphold the company’s renowned service and sustainability standards, including adherence to the EarthView program designed to promote sustainable business practices. The role includes duties such as taking guest orders, managing the point of service system, setting and clearing tables, ensuring proper stocking of service stations, and sometimes assisting with bartending or bussing to ensure seamless dining operations even during peak times or staffing shortages. It offers a clear career growth path, enabling progression to roles such as Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server, Captain, and ultimately managerial positions including Restaurant Manager and Banquet Manager.
The Food and Beverage Server must stay attentive to guests' needs to secure high guest satisfaction scores, which are essential to Hilton's service quality goals. Employees are also responsible for practicing safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and MSDS regulations, ensuring a safe work environment while performing their tasks. This position suits candidates with previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training, familiarity with POS systems, and possibly TIPS certification to ensure responsible alcohol service. Hilton values continuous learning and offers an enriching work environment with competitive wages available for both full-time and part-time schedules. The role requires physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching, which is typical for active service roles in the hospitality industry.
By joining Hilton, candidates become part of a globally respected brand that not only nurtures employee career growth and recognizes talent but also implements impactful sustainability practices. The organization offers a comprehensive range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, 401k matching, and various wellness programs. These benefits foster a supportive and rewarding work experience, making it an attractive choice for those passionate about hospitality and guest service excellence.
