As a Restaurant Server at Huddle House, you will play a vital role in delivering first-class customer service and food service within a dynamic and friendly environment. Your primary responsibility will be to manage day-to-day service operations by properly receiving and relaying food orders, ensuring timely delivery of meals, and maintaining cleanliness in your assigned area. This role requires dedication to excellent customer service, punctuality, and teamwork to ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests. In this role, you will be expected to greet customers warmly, guide them through the menu, suggestively sell products to enhance their dining experience, and accurately handle their orders using the point-of-sale system. You will also be responsible for processing payments, ensuring all transactions are accounted for before the end of your shift, and following food safety and cash security policies. Your duties extend to maintaining restaurant cleanliness, including bussing tables, mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms, which all contribute to the high standards the brand upholds. The position demands a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while fostering a team-oriented work environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service or restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to handle transactions accurately
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Must follow all food safety and hygiene regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all restaurant staff
  • Some previous restaurant experience preferred
  • Can do attitude and willingness to be at your during your shift

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time in a clean, complete, proper uniform with a positive attitude ready to work
  • Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting
  • Review menu with customers when needed, suggestively sell products and take order from each customer at the table
  • Using proper, approved abbreviations submit ticket to the cook’s station and deliver food in a timely manner to the customer when food is cooked
  • Handle money from customers
  • ring up tickets using the POS system and make proper change
  • Account for all tickets, credit cards receipts, and make sure that all tickets have been rung up and closed before shift is over
  • Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift
  • Using all tools provided by the manager keep the store clean at all times, including but not limited to: bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and walls
  • Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints
  • Know the menu, the daily features when applicable, which juices, add-ons and desserts to suggestively sell
  • Know and follow the Huddle House steps of service with each and every guest to maximize shift sales
  • Practice all rules for safety food handling cash security and all other restaurant policies
  • Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as detailed or assigned by supervisor
  • Make a difference in food cost by controlling waste and portion control
  • Perform all duties with a sense of urgency
