Job Description

Ruth's Chris Steak House, founded in 1965, has long been recognized as the quintessential American Steak House, setting the standard for premier dining experiences across the nation. As a company, Ruth's Chris is committed not only to excellence in cuisine and service but also to fostering an empowering and dynamic workplace culture. It offers employees a rewarding career path within a supportive environment that encourages personal and professional growth. Known for its signature sizzling USDA Prime steaks and a dedication to high-quality ingredients and exceptional service, Ruth's Chris has built a loyal customer base and continues to expand its presence in the competitive hospitality sector.

The company is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Restaurant Sales Manager to join their team. This position plays a pivotal role in driving the restaurant's revenue growth across multiple revenue centers including the Bar, Dining Room, Private Dining, and Off-Premises services. The primary focus of this role is to increase Private Dining sales by engaging in continuous outreach to prospective clients, developing effective marketing strategies, and responding to inbound leads with personalized service. The opportunity is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Restaurant Sales Manager's responsibilities include generating banquet event orders, tailoring customized event solutions, and working closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to develop and execute sales strategies that meet or exceed sales and margin goals. A significant part of the role involves building strong local relationships, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, and maintaining an active presence within industry networks and meeting planner associations. The role requires someone who is not only skilled in sales but who also embraces service excellence to ensure total guest satisfaction during events.

This is a variable pay position based on location, reflecting the unique market conditions and opportunities within the restaurant's geographic area. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a management incentive performance plan, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, generous paid time off, and access to training and leadership development programs. Dining discounts further enhance the perks of working for a well-respected leader in the hospitality industry.

In addition to sales responsibilities, the Restaurant Sales Manager also serves as a support to restaurant operations when needed. This may include working floor shifts, conducting facility walkthroughs and line checks, and ensuring seamless operational efficiency. The role demands versatility, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude to support the overall success of the restaurant.

Candidates for this role should expect to engage in local travel for sales activities and networking, and they must be willing to work shifts typically lasting 10 hours, including periods when the restaurant is open for service. If you are ready to join a team dedicated to excellence and looking for a career that offers growth, challenge, and recognition, this is the ideal role to advance your hospitality career with a renowned and respected brand.
