It is a unique boutique hotel brand that offers guests an immersive cultural experience by combining a multi-venue contemporary art museum, a chef-driven restaurant, and an inviting hotel environment. These elements come together to create an exceptional atmosphere that celebrates creativity, community engagement, and memorable guest experiences. Founded with the vision of bridging the worlds of art and hospitality, 21c Museum Hotels provides guests not only a place to stay but an artistic experience that inspires and connects people.
Working at 21c Museum Hotels means joining a passionate and dynamic team committed to delivering excellence in service while fostering an environment that embraces innovation and creativity. The company's commitment to its guests and community creates a welcoming atmosphere where employees have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.
The role of the Food Runner at 21c Museum Hotels plays an essential part in the dining experience of each guest. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to diners efficiently and accurately. This position requires understanding the specifics of each dish to ensure nothing is missed and that guests receive their meals exactly as intended. As the last staff member to handle each dish before it reaches the patron, Food Runners contribute significantly to the overall quality and flow of service.
In addition to food delivery, Food Runners assist with essential preparations, table clearing, and maintaining the service areas in spotless condition. They act as a vital communication link between the kitchen and servers, ensuring food is delivered promptly and accurately. Food Runners also support servers and bussers with tasks such as side work and polishing silverware to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
This role demands strong communication skills, a good understanding of the menu, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Physical stamina is essential since the job requires standing, walking for extended periods, and carrying trays and items that can weigh up to 50 pounds. The Food Runner position offers flexible working hours including nights and weekends, making it suitable for individuals looking for dynamic schedules.
Joining the team at 21c Museum Hotels means becoming part of an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, inclusion, and the unique contributions of every team member. Employee evaluations are free from discrimination based on legally protected characteristics. The company fosters a positive work culture where dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm for all things 21c are recognized and rewarded. This role is ideal for responsible, dependable individuals who are punctual and eager to contribute to a creative and high-standard hospitality environment.
