Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a host in a high-volume, fine dining setting
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
- Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team
- Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs
- Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or receptionist in a high-volume, fine dining environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple inquiries and reservations efficiently
- Knowledge of reservation and guest management systems is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Commitment to upholding company policies and health regulations
Job Duties
- Greet and escort guests to tables in a gracious and professional manner
- Interact with guests and fellow staff members in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure all members have an exemplary dining experience
- Greet and acknowledge VIPs in a professional manner
- Check guests in and uphold all guest list rules
- Respond to all reservations and inquiries during shift
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Maintain a proactive approach to solving any guest's questions or issues
- Direct guests to the appropriate waiting area and provide status updates
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department
- Assist in supervising food servers, bussers, and food runners as it relates to guest contact and table information
- Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-assign seating when necessary
- Communicate with management regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests, and VIP requests
- Ensure that all lost items are returned to management
- Act as a brand ambassador for the company
- Ensure the compliance of all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, and Health Department
- Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned
