The Assistant Manager role at Chicken Salad Chick is pivotal to the restaurant's success. The Assistant Manager acts as a brand ambassador, upholding and promoting the Chicken Salad Chick culture through every aspect of the restaurant's operations. Responsibilities include overseeing customer service standards to ensure every guest feels welcome and receives friendly, courteous, and prompt service. The Assistant Manager also plays an active role in training employees, managing administration tasks, maintaining the facility, and ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards.

Operational responsibilities include controlling cash handling, monitoring inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and stepping in to support team members during busy periods. The role requires strong leadership skills to motivate the team, handle administrative paperwork promptly, and manage restaurant deliveries and receiving processes accurately. The position demands excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and quickly adapt to new computer software and back-office tools.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

  • Must be able to work and perform all duties at any station in the kitchen or service area

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Chicken Salad Chick
  • Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service
  • Ensure that all products are consistently prepared and served according to CSC standards
  • Achieve identified objectives for sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Operationally fill in as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
