The role of Restaurant General Manager at Chicken Salad Chick is essential for driving exceptional results by leading and motivating others in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This full-time position involves overseeing the overall restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, labor, and brand standards. The General Manager acts as a brand ambassador, responsible for delivering memorable guest experiences through excellent service and maintaining a productive, positive workplace environment. Duties include coaching and developing future leaders, managing administration tasks, controlling inventories, ensuring facility maintenance, and leading marketing, advertising, and promotional activities within the brand’s guidelines. This role demands strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and proficiency with back-office tools and software. Candidates typically bring three to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work history. The job requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks across all kitchen and service stations.
Supporting the General Manager is the Assistant Manager, who shares many of the same operational responsibilities but focuses more on team development and daily administrative support. Assistant Managers help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensure that products meet Chicken Salad Chick’s high standards, and assist with inventory control and compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires one to two years of relevant experience or equivalent education and is also full-time with an 8-hour shift schedule. Job Duties
- serve as a brand ambassador for chicken salad chick
- understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
- ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service
- ensure that all products are consistently prepared and served according to csc standards
- achieve identified objectives for sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
- develop, plan and implement restaurant marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns, in accordance with the brand standards
- create, communicate, implement and follow up on operations and financial action plans
