This position is for a Restaurant Manager at the Whataburger location in Abilene, Texas. The Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth functioning and customer satisfaction. The manager is responsible for leading both the front-of-house and kitchen teams, making sure that the restaurant maintains high standards in food preparation, presentation, customer service, and health compliance. As a leader, this role involves hiring, training, and retaining talented staff members who are dedicated to providing extraordinary service. The manager also works closely with Operating Partners to handle financial aspects such as budgeting and profitability analysis.

Additionally, the Restaurant Manager ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, overseeing sanitation and food safety protocols to maintain a safe dining environment. Inventory management is another key responsibility, requiring the manager to conduct regular stock checks and place orders to maintain adequate supply levels without waste. The role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to multitask, and a keen eye for detail to uphold the integrity of the Whataburger brand. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Manages front-of-house restaurant operations including staff scheduling customer service and presentation of the dining room and bar areas
  • manages the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality food delivery and resolve service issues
  • hires trains and retains talent to deliver extraordinary customer service
  • conducts regular inventory checks and orders restaurant supplies as required to ensure adequate stock levels and prevent stock-outs
  • ensures profitability for restaurant working with Operating Partners on financial reports and budget management
  • provides guidance on cleaning sanitation and food safety procedures
  • ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and training
