The role of Restaurant Manager at Hooters of Jax San Jose is a dynamic and leadership-intensive position focused on managing multiple operational areas of the restaurant. The Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager to ensure that the day-to-day restaurant operations are efficient, profitable, and aligned with company policies and standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing hospitality functions, safety protocols, atmosphere management, and quality assurance related to food and beverage offerings. This role also emphasizes strong leadership in team management, involving recruitment, training, and development of both Front of House and Back of House employees to ensure excellent service.
In addition to staff management, the Restaurant Manager is actively involved in business administration tasks such as payroll, marketing, financial reporting, and inventory control. They ensure that vendor relationships are managed properly with timely compensation and effective communication to meet business needs. By promoting the brand and driving sales initiatives, the Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in boosting the restaurant's profitability and guest satisfaction. This position also requires adherence to responsible alcohol service regulations, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and preserving the overall facility maintenance and cleanliness.

Job Requirements
- Valid ServSafe alcohol certification prior to beginning work
- Possession of any other legally required certification to be eligible to work for Hooters
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Strong coaching, organizational, and planning skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- General knowledge of full service restaurant operations and hospitality industry
- Ability to manage changing priorities
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Intermediate mathematical computation skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of full service restaurant management experience in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Successfully completed food safety and sanitation training
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Job Duties
- Manage various operational areas including hospitality, guest satisfaction, safety, cleanliness, drink presentation, and atmosphere
- Assist General Manager in daily restaurant operations and business administration
- Ensure vendors and suppliers are properly compensated and meet business needs
- Support hiring, training, and development of Front of House and Back of House employees
- Manage performance and coaching of all hourly employees to ensure role success
- Promote the business, build sales, increase profits, and maintain brand integrity
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, cash handling, team building, vendor relationships, and local store marketing
