Job Description

High Flying Foods is a pioneering company revolutionizing the airport dining experience by integrating authentic local flavors and culinary traditions into each of their venues. Established as a leader in the airport hospitality sector, High Flying Foods operates more than 40 locations across seven international airports. The company collaborates extensively with popular neighborhood restaurants and celebrated chefs, aiming to deliver an exceptional dining experience that captures the essence of each city through carefully curated, chef-led concepts and iconic eateries. This approach not only ensures high-quality food but also offers travelers a genuine taste of the local culture and cuisine wherever they travel. At its core, High Flying Foods values exceptional food, outstanding service, and innovative partnerships that raise the bar for airport dining nationwide.

The company is currently expanding and actively recruiting motivated and passionate individuals who share their enthusiasm for great food and superior customer service. Specifically, they are looking to fill the role of Restaurant Manager for their Market Hall and Cutwater restaurants located at San Diego International Airport. This leadership role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where creativity and operational excellence are equally prized. Compensation ranges from $26 to $30 per hour, supplemented by a quarterly bonus, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding dedication and results. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, alongside medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts. Employees also benefit from a 401(k) retirement plan with a 5% company match, paid vacation and sick leave, and free employee meals. Additionally, High Flying Foods emphasizes work-life balance and offers free parking along with clear opportunities for career growth and advancement.

This role will demand overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff recruitment, training, and mentorship. Managers must enforce company policies, ensure compliance with local regulations, manage food quality and inventory control, supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams, and handle various administrative tasks like payroll and scheduling. Moreover, the Restaurant Manager will work to foster a positive, collaborative work environment and implement solutions to operational challenges in alignment with upper management. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who holds a minimum of two years' experience in restaurant management, particularly with at least one year in full-service venues with bar management. High Flying Foods also prioritizes diversity and inclusivity, ensuring a supportive workplace culture for all employees regardless of their background or identity.
