Job Description

McDonald's, one of the world's largest and most recognized fast-food restaurant chains, is known for its commitment to quality food, excellent customer service, and a dynamic working environment. Operating as a global leader in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, McDonald's maintains thousands of franchise-owned and company-operated restaurants worldwide. Each location offers a wide variety of menu items tailored to local tastes while adhering to the brand’s high standards. This particular opportunity is with a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, which holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products. Although the franchisee operates independently of McDonald’s USA, they uphold the same iconic standards and values associated with the brand.

This full-time position as Restaurant Manager of the Future is an exciting and crucial role designed as a short-term training opportunity with the goal of growing into a full Restaurant Manager position. The hourly wage for this role is $24.75, and it offers flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance and provides a supportive work environment where team members feel valued and empowered. This role is perfect for individuals looking to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, customer-centric setting.

As Restaurant Manager of the Future, you will be an integral part of the restaurant's operations, gaining comprehensive experience in all facets of managing a successful McDonald's restaurant. Your journey will involve hands-on training in managing food production, guest service, crew and management staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. With a key focus on people management, you will learn critical processes such as recruiting, hiring, onboarding, staffing, performance management, and employee training and motivation. Your leadership will directly affect the guest experience and the efficiency of daily operations.

In addition to people management, you will develop skills in critical business decisions including inventory control, budgeting, food ordering, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Leadership responsibilities also include overseeing restaurant maintenance, employee and guest safety, and meeting stringent McDonald's standards of excellence. This role requires proactive decision-making, problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this position is the opportunity for advancement and growth within the franchisee’s operations or potentially into corporate roles. McDonald’s is known for providing extensive training and career development opportunities that prepare their managers for success in the broader hospitality and management sectors. Team members in this position are also expected to complete mandatory training on important issues such as California’s Allergen Disclosure law, which ensures that the restaurant provides safe and compliant menu options for guests with food allergies.

McDonald's commits to diversity and inclusivity in its workforce, offering equal employment opportunities regardless of race, religion, sex, age, disability status, or other protected characteristics. The franchisee provides reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities to ensure a fair hiring process and work environment. This role, offered by a McDonald’s franchisee, provides an exceptional career path in the restaurant management field, combining flexibility, competitive pay, valuable experience, and a strong culture of team support and customer focus.
