As the Restaurant Manager at InterContinental Mark Hopkins, you will play a pivotal role in leading the culinary and service teams that create exceptional dining experiences. This is a full-time role offering an annual salary range between $74,000 to $76,000, reflecting the importance the hotel places on securing talented leadership within its food and beverage department. Reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage, you will oversee operations in key dining areas including the Nob Hill Café, Room Service, and Minibar teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will ensure that all aspects of restaurant service run efficiently and with the utmost professionalism, from quality control in food preparation to seamless customer service that fosters guest loyalty.
Leadership is at the core of this position. You will be responsible for supervising restaurant colleagues encompassing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Setting clear performance goals and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment will be essential in driving success. You will implement and maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, restaurant policies, and operational standards. Additionally, your keen eye for detail will ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control consistently align with the hotel’s standards.
Operationally, you will manage inventory, coordinate with vendors to ensure supplies are adequate, and monitor ongoing training programs to uphold staff competency. Customer service excellence will be paramount, requiring you to address and resolve guest complaints with professionalism and promptness. Financial aspects of the restaurant, including assistance with reporting, will also fall under your purview, requiring strong analytical skills to interpret data and contribute to decision-making that positively impacts the business.

- Minimum two years of restaurant management experience in a senior role
- proven experience managing service staff in upscale dining environments
- excellent analytical and financial acumen
- exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- union experience preferred (specifically Unite HERE Local 2)
