Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • able to obtain a valid food handler card
  • able to obtain valid ServSafe certification
  • previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or management position
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Duties

  • support the general manager in developing restaurant operating plans supportive of company and market strategies which will achieve business growth and guest satisfaction
  • work closely with general manager to plan schedules and analyze staffing needs
  • ensure development and training is provided to all employees
  • exercise discretion in addressing changing demands of the business
  • ensure all menu items are prepared and served according to brand standards
  • maintain proper inventory levels for food and nonfood items using correct ordering procedures
  • ensure guest satisfaction through directing operational execution of proper service in a clean and pleasant environment
  • enforce brand standards service requirements
  • maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • ensure management procedures and practices for facility and equipment are adhered to including preventive maintenance and safety requirements
  • meet all food safety standards
  • embody, promote and teach company values and policies with a strong focus on safety
  • manage controllable expenses focusing on labor, cash, p&l, food costs and other operating expenses
  • understand financial reports and support general manager in plans for improvement
  • maintain awareness of local market trends, competitive stance and opportunities
  • select and implement appropriate local marketing programs
  • create and maintain a positive work environment ensuring open communications
  • communicate employee relations issues to general manager and human resources
  • administer disciplinary process according to procedures
  • influence supervisors, subordinates and peers effectively
  • manage disagreements and conflicts constructively and timely
  • demonstrate strong leadership and flexibility
