Established in 1959, Flanigan's has become a beloved institution synonymous with quality, excellent service, and unparalleled dining experiences across Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Over the decades, the restaurant chain has grown steadily, expanding its footprint with multiple locations and establishing a strong presence in the competitive South Florida market. This robust growth is fueled by a commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality, customer satisfaction, and employee development. Flanigan's prides itself on creating a family-oriented work environment where seasoned professionals and enthusiastic newcomers alike can thrive and grow their careers. The company has a firm focus on investing in its people, offering opportunities for advancement based on performance rather than tenure. The employment type for Restaurant Managers at Flanigan's is full-time, and the company offers a competitive starting salary, reflecting their commitment to rewarding skilled and motivated individuals.
The role of a Hiring Manager at Flanigan's involves overseeing multiple aspects of restaurant management and operations to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant function. Managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from the restaurant location for which they are hired, demonstrating the company’s flexible approach to management assignments. This position demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a hands-on approach to daily restaurant activities. Managers are responsible for coordinating between the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to address any challenges throughout the day. They must meticulously document daily operations, report accurately on both positive and negative incidents, and uphold all company policies, rules, and procedures. Attendance at weekly manager meetings, monthly staff meetings, and quarterly supervisor gatherings is mandatory to maintain alignment across teams and to ensure continuous improvement and accountability within the unit.
Hiring Managers at Flanigan's also take charge of critical managerial duties such as conducting weekly and monthly employee evaluations, facilitating hiring processes, and maintaining rigorous health and safety standards as per local codes. Candidates must demonstrate an ownership mentality and adaptability, with a willingness to transfer to different geographical locations as business needs require. The role requires flexibility in scheduling since Flanigan's operates 365 days a year. Practical skills such as ordering supplies, formulating pars, basic math proficiency, and computer literacy are essential. Managers must also be able to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for prolonged periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating kitchen equipment effectively. Adequate communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are non-negotiable for maintaining precise records and interacting with teams and management.
Joining Flanigan's means becoming part of an enduring and dynamic team that values dedication, professionalism, and a passion for delivering excellent hospitality. The company offers attractive benefits such as competitive pay, a structured five-day workweek with two consecutive days off, paid vacation that increases with tenure, comprehensive health insurance including medical and dental coverage, a 401K retirement plan with immediate eligibility, personal days, and free meals during shifts. This is a remarkable opportunity for restaurant management professionals seeking a stable yet challenging career path within one of South Florida’s most esteemed dining institutions.
